SUMMARY:VINE 2026 – Strategy and Leadership
DESCRIPTION:Leading Technology Adoption. Governing Change. Preparing Schools for What Comes Next.\n\nOne of the biggest challenge facing school leaders is no longer simply understanding the technology. It is knowing how to lead the change\, make good decisions\, establish clear accountability and put governance around innovation without getting in its way.\n\nAt the centre of the conference is a two-part Leading Change in Schools workshop with Therese Joyce\, Founder and Principal Consultant of Snow Daisy. Therese brings more than 20 years of experience leading and developing teams across education and other sectors\, combined with a background in applied positive psychology and organisational development. Her work focuses on translating research about how people think\, feel and work into practical approaches for leadership and organisational change.\n\nThe day will also explore:\n\n\nAI in Education and the Leadership Imperative with Microsoft\, examining the opportunities\, risks and responsibilities education leaders need to understand as AI adoption accelerates.\n\n\nWhat Good AI Adoption Looks Like in Practice with ASI\, moving beyond experimentation towards structured adoption\, accountability\, oversight and risk management.\n\n\nWho’s Actually in Charge? The Governance Reality Check \, a candid and interactive fireside discussion examining who really owns technology and governance decisions in schools\, where accountability sits\, and what happens when authority is unclear.\n\n\nMaking ICT Governance Work in Schools\, a practical leadership session exploring the committees\, decision structures and governance mechanisms schools can put in place\, using Haileybury’s approach as a working example.\n\n\nThis is not a day about technology for technology’s sake. It is about how leaders create the structures\, culture and decision-making environment that allow technology to deliver real value for their schools.\n\nYou will leave with practical governance models you can adapt\, approaches for leading change\, clearer ways to define accountability and decision rights\, and an opportunity to benchmark your school against peers\, together with concrete next steps you can take back to your leadership team.\n\nIf you are responsible for technology\, operations\, risk\, digital strategy\, organisational change or executive decision-making in your school\, this is a conversation you should be part of.\nJoin us on 24 September 2026 and help shape what good technology leadership and governance looks like for schools in the years ahead.\n\nREGISTER HERE
