The thinking behind the first event was to provide a simple mechanism for K-12 schools to review laptop and tablet devices from all vendors on one day and that vision remains unchanged today. \nIn recent years the event has grown to have in the order of 150 decision makers from more than 70 schools and the agenda has expanded to include other relevant products and services. Key to the day has been cross-school conversation and an opportunity for face-to face interactions between vendors and school ICT Managers\, Business Managers and other key decision makers. \nDespite the many and varied impacts of COVID-19\, VINE is committed to ensuring the showcase continues in 2020\, albeit in a different format. \n\nThe format for 2020:\nStage 1 – Live watching party\n20 July 4:00PM to 5:00PM or 21 July 11:00AM to 12:00PM \nVINE will host a live event for VINE members to watch a video pitch (of up to 2 minutes) from each vendor.  (These videos will also be hosted on the VINE website for members to access and review post event). SUMMARY:Term 3 meeting - Mobile Devices Showcase and Solutions for Community Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Register HERE!  \nThe annual mobile device showcase allows vendors to present their offerings to members of VINE. For members\, it is a one stop showcase to have a peak at the device offering in one location. Feedback from both attendees and vendors is that the showcase day is not to be missed.\n  \nIn 2019 the device showcase is complimented by vendors presenting on Community Engagement. This is an area of core significance to all schools. The topic covers a number of areas such as:  \n\npolicy including privacy\, enrolment agreements and parent communication policy \nacademic reporting – progressive and end of semester \napprovals including excursions\, camps and policies \nupdating of data \ngeneral communication. \n\nAs has become the tradition at the showcase\, the day finishes with drinks/nibbles at the Principal’s Residence followed by dinner at Swipers Gully Restaurant.
